Microneedling is also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy and uses a device which houses many incredibly fine sterilised needles. These needles cause tiny punctures in the skin which create controlled micro-injuries to the skin but don’t damage it. These punctures
encourage the body to create a wound healing response which renews the skin cells and as your skin repairs it produces collagen and elastin which plumps up your skin immediately.
At Cheshire skin and Laser Clinic I am qualified to use a professional microneedling pen or RF Microneedling machine but also specialist serums. The equipment uses a fast mechanical action which makes the tiny punctures. It can be used on the face, neck and body and can treat dull tired skin, dark marks, sun damage and ageing including fine lines and deeper wrinkles, scaring from acne and chicken pox scars, stretch marks plus uneven texture. The treatment is bespoke depending on your areas of concern.

This is a cosmetic procedure. It uses tiny needles and radiofrequency waves to rejuvenate facial skin. The needle releases radiofrequency into the channels, causing additional damage and this enhances the effects of standard Microneedling.
A course of 2-4 may be required depending on the areas to restructure. Results can be seen 7 days after the first treatment.
This treatment is not suitable:
– if you are currently or have recently used Accutane.
– have an active cold sore breakout
– have a skin infection
– have a moderate to severe skin disease (like psoriasis)
– are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy
– are pregnant
– are taking anticoagulants
– have a history of keloids, hypertrophic scarring, or poor wound healing
